"You are so sensitive. You think too much."
"Yes," you acknowledged. "That is fair."
Sensitivity runs through your veins. A lifelong curse, so it seemed.
You observed from a distance, those who seemed so level-headed, so confident and wise. You often compared yourself.... and suffered.
You questioned yourself at every turn. The fear of not being liked or accepted or loved. You allowed your thoughts, and those of others, to twist your heart into a pretzel. But why?
This being so sensitive. It was the very thing that made you perfectly, imperfect you.
Passionate and intuitive.
Creative and ever curious.
An empath.
A feeler.
Music, nature, sappy love stories.
Oh the wonder of it all.
Perhaps you worried a bit more than most. And you were often misunderstood.
Somewhere down the road, you learned that these qualities were your strengths, not your weaknesses.
And you ceased reducing yourself to fit into a mold of someone else's beliefs or truths.
Acceptance.
We commit to learn and we move forward.
No apologies required.
Thanks for being here.
